GRIEVANCE POLICY

Commonwealth Educational Seminars (CES) seeks to ensure equitable treatment of every person and to make every attempt to resolve grievances in a fair manner. Grievances would receive, to the best of our ability, corrective action in order to prevent further problems. CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

It is the policy of the Mad in America Continuing Education project to avoid cancellation of any webinar unless absolutely necessary and to provide notice of cancellation as soon as possible, preferably within 2 weeks or more of the scheduled webinar.

A full refund or pro-rated refund relative to the portion of a multi-webinar course that is cancelled will be made as soon as possible.

If a paid registrant requests a refund, that refund will be made in full or pro-rated as described above unless the registrant has already claimed CE credit(s) for the course or webinar.

All reasonable accommodations will be made for persons with disabilities including but not limited to closed captioning for hearing impaired individuals. A request to bnikkel@madinamerica.com should be made at least 2 weeks in advance to allow MIACE to make necessary arrangements.

TARGET AUDIENCES:

Mad in America Continuing Education courses are targeted at all mental health professionals including psychologists, social workers, licensed counselors, marriage and family therapists, nurses as well as psychiatrists and other physicians working with people who have mental health challenges.

All Mad in America Continuing Education courses are at the Intermediate Level.

CE APPROVAL INFORMATION

Continuing Education credit for this program is awarded by Commonwealth Educational Seminars (CES) for the following professions:


Licensed Professional Counselors/Licensed Mental Health Counselors: Commonwealth Educational Seminars (CES) is entitled to award continuing education credit for Licensed Professional Counselors/Licensed Mental Health Counselors. Please visit CES CE CREDIT to see all states that are covered for LPCs/LMHCs. CES maintains responsibility for this program and its content.

Psychologists: Commonwealth Educational Seminars is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. Commonwealth Educational Seminars maintains responsibility for this program and its content.

Marriage and Family Therapists: Commonwealth Educational Seminars (CES) is entitled to award continuing education credit for Licensed Marriage & Family Therapists. Please visit CES CE CREDIT to see all states that are covered for LMFTs. CES maintains responsibility for this program and its content.

Nurses: As an American Psychological Association approved provider, CES programs are accepted by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).These courses can be utilized by nurses to renew their certification and will be accepted by the ANCC. Every state Board of Nursing accepts ANCC approved programs except California and Iowa, however CES is also an approved Continuing Education provider by the California Board of Registered Nursing (Provider # CEP15567) which is also accepted by the Iowa Board of Nursing.
